Help With LULU dvd publishing

IIRC they request an ISO image. This is easiest to create in something like Toast, but I think Disk Utility can do it somehow. There is also the command line 'dd' which is what I think I used in the end.

The problem with uploading a large ISO file is that there a a relatively high chance it might become corrupted during the upload because there is no self-checking CRC with an ISO file.

I believe you can zip the ISO (takes ages!) and upload the zip which will then be uncompressed their end. This assures the integrity of the image since if the zip gets corrupted it won't unzip their end.

I did find the whole thing a bit of an exercise in frustration and eventually Kevin (the producer) managed to get an image uploaded successfully.

I did also consider CustomFlix who accept physical copies of the DVD, but their service costs money, but it does get you listed on Amazon as a zShop IIRC. The "costs money" put me off though, and by default I think the DVD would only be available from .com and not any European domain (like .co.uk)

I was wondering if anybody had any advice on uploading to lulu.com for a DVD? I saw Miker's DVD and thought it looked good so I decided to go that way myself, I was planning to upload a disc image just from disc utility(I'm a mac person) I just popped my DVD (dvd studio pro) into the drive, clicked new image and had myself one that would burn DVDs till the cows came home. I hear there are alot of problems with the DVD burning service? Does anybody have any hints or a walkthrough(if you're a mac user). Will a DVD/CD-R master image work?
